Poker Players Haven’t Faced Deep Blue

Poker Players Haven't Faced Deep BlueI’m not sure why this is happening, but it is.  In what should be a misfit news article, two “professional” poker players played against a computer and though the margin of victory was slim, the humans did beat the computer.

If you know anything about computers, you will understand that the poker players did not beat any computer, but beat the programming that the computer had to run.  So in essence it took two “professional” poker players to beat some nerd in poker.  What an accomplishment.

The reason that I write “professional” with quotes in this article is because the only discernable different between a hobbyist (a.k.a. loser) and professional poker player is winnings.  When a winning poker player starts losing, they are no longer referred to as professionals.
